The development will enhance the biodiversity of the area with trees, shrubs and plants on the roof levels and along the street frontages, providing a welcome and attractive atmosphere.

The frontage onto Kenton road will also be improved by high quality, wide pavements. These will be upgraded from the current walkways providing a more user friendly and accessible link with the entrance to the convenience store.

Extensive active frontages will be created on Charlton, Kenton and Farrer Roads which will be a major improvement on the existing condition. Vehicle congestion and the safety of pedestrians will be improved. Changes to the car parking arrangements and reduced entry and egress points to the site will result in fewer vehicles crossing the pavements. A new Car Club scheme will be available to all local people.
